I’ve also added Sphere to the Web20Search engine’s “blog search engines” feature. This combines the power of Technorati, Feedster, Blogger and now Sphere in one search result. The Web20Search is available from The Web 2.0 Toolbar as well right from the site here.

New Search Addition – Gotuit InVideo Search
The Gotuit InVideo Search engine has been added.  This is an online service that allows you to bookmark and search inside online video on sites like YouTube and Metacafe (more to come).  The “inside” means that you can find and share only the best parts of an online video.

Megite Technology News Added to NEWS ALERT
The Megite meme service has been added to the NEWS ALERT feature.  Megite allows you to see what is happening in technology news “right now”.  Combined with the Tailrank and Techmeme service, The Web 2.0 Toolbar will give you the most comprehensive view of the news right now.

Solution Watch Added to NEWS ALERT
Packed with product reviews, Solution Watch is an up-and-coming technology blog by 20 year old (that’s right 20) web designer Brian Benzinger and several other young contributors. The site has been gaing traffic and should be a great fresh perspective on what is happening in web technology today.

To make it even easier, we have now added “The Web 2.0 Search Engine” as an option to the POWER SEARCH feature.  This feature combines the search results from many of the top Web 2.0 websites into one web page.  This option is titled “Web20Search” on the search pull-down located on the toolbar.

 

Web 2.0 Search Engine

 

The Web20Search engine, which is still in beta ( what Web 2.0 app is not? ), was built utilizing the Google custom search engine application.  It still has a few quirks that are being worked out…primarily with the ad placement.

To Try it Out:

1. Install The Web 2.0 Toolbar (If have not done so already)

2. Enter a search term in the Search box

3. Select “Web20Search” from the Search pulldown

4. Enjoy
